Which is funny, because the hardest part for me about starting to paint was convincing myself that I just might be able to do it. That and being OK with sometimes making crappy paintings.
For my last show, I created seven paintings that went in the garage, in order to create two that I love. And that just took plowing through them, and knowing that at some point, something worthwhile was going to come out.
