This time of year we are enthralled by the passage of the sandhill cranes through sw Colorado. Ethereal, and with the most eerie of calls, they coast overhead in large flocks. Spread out, flying over my house, over the river. They remind us to look up, and notice the sky. The quotes collaged into the painting are many, and include this one from Max Ehrmann, "Whether or not you are aware of it, the universe is unfolding as it should."
