It’s the view from the top of Red Mountain 3, looking down on the beautiful ridge of Red 1. The grit is created from glass gel beads on the ridges, and the iron oxide color from bronze, gold and copper metallic paints. Many layers of collaged papers peek out from beneath the ridges, telling stories, creating texture, and setting the mood. In the distance, birds soar below the ridges, created from hand-made stamps.
Painting for groups of friends is such a great way to teach. Everyone has a great time when they create with their buddies. This group included mothers and daughters as well. Everyone created something completely different, which is the beauty – to see each person’s unique style!
