This painting was so incredibly fun to work on. It was a request for Trader Joe’s greeting card line, and the original 30″ x 30″ painting is also available. I love doing these fun, happy illustrative artworks, along with my more serious paintings. It keeps me light, and hopefully spreads a little extra joy around the planet!
My current March exhibit is hanging in Telluride, Colorado for the month of March, and you can read about it here. It includes a new blue and gold aspen tree diptych (pictured below), bright sunflowers on a red background with a purple checked tablecloth, wine bottles and more! Stop by if you’re in Telluride this month!
One aspect of my work I love is having assignments – creating beautiful pieces and seeing it out there in the world. Wild Apple Graphics promotes my work at art & licensing trade shows far and wide to establish relationships with stores for prints. This is a great opportunity for artists these days to make a living from more than just sales of originals. It’s a challenge to make a living as an artist, and I appreciate this opportunity, which helps me to be able to do what I love.
My true love is just painting wildly and freely on canvas. Experimenting, learning, playing with brilliant colors, shapes and textures. You can see my latest original paintings that are available here.
If you’re interested in painting with me, my next workshop is in a private studio in the pines of northern Arizona. (I’m so excited!) Join me in Flagstaff for a 2-day workshop at Half-Full Studios, hosted by Marian Armstrong. Learn more and sign up here!
