Having recently spent a week in New Orleans visiting the tropical zoo, riding the trolley cars, and eating beignets, feeling the spray on an elephant fountain, soaring on a carasoul with white tigers, riding a wild hurricane simulator, and photographing my son in an alligator tank… I couldn’t return home and paint mountains!
Something about wandering around the bizaare streets of New Orleans lifted my soul to a lighter place – the patterns and colors and whimsy of it all – the alligators, the Mississippi, the street art and jazz …
So out came this (nearly) four foot pink flamingo, which hopes to find a home in a Florida golf cart community, or otherwise whimsical location. It contains old recipes, saucy lyrics and lots of attitude.
