What I learned from this painting is that a color can’t be captured in one shade. It is represented with many. And the eye sees it as one, joyful site.
Spring is here, windy as it is, and it’s so delightful, like food for the eyes, to see flowers. My geranium was in the sunlight and called to be painted. I was full of bliss, painting it, it uplifted me with its playfulness and brilliant color.
