The last month has been filled with teaching art – Lucky me!

As many of you know, I launched an online mixed media course, Pedal to Petal this June, where folks from around the country learned mixed media techniques online with me.

From finding time for yourself to art journaling, to discovering what inspires you, students worked their way through painting, collage, and discovering their own creative voices.

Following are a few of their pieces. What a fun adventure it’s been, sharing this playful process!

Next up was a weekend-long course in the beautiful mountain town of Telluride, Colorado, at the AHHAA school for the arts.

(Photo above) It’s fun to work with students in person, where we are able to speak one-on-one about their paintings.

It always amazes me what great energy and willingness to learn everyone shows up with, as we work our way through mixed media collage layers, paint, and fun finishing touches.

We don’t always come away with masterpieces, but hopefully everyone learns something they can take back to their creative work at home.

Thanks to all you lovely folks who’ve allowed me to share in your creative process this last month. It’s been absolutely lovely and inspiring!

Now back to the studio!
