San Juan River Juniper
Forever I have been enamored by Juniper Trees. From my first days of hiking all summer as a Wilderness Ranger for the US Forest Service in Sedona, to my years of climbing and exploring in the southwest Utah desert. This juniper sits on the banks of the San Juan River. You can see it's twisted trunk, and how it's roots dig into the red rock below. Gold Juniper berries adorn it's foliage, and off in the distance you can see the Native American ruin that we explored when my son was 3.
