Elephant from India

My friend Shauna brought back a print from Asia of a decorated elephant. I've always wanted to do an interpretive painting of it, and here it is! There are luscious background textures from layers of paint, collage and stencils. The elephant itself was painted on rice paper, and collaged in, with illustration creating the decorative elements on top.
