San Juan Mountains Painting
Painting this mountain range was a tribute to the San Juan Mountains, featuring Mt Sneffels. A local couple wanted an eight foot painting, which is the largest I have done. I began with a line drawing, and then layered on stencils with spray paint. Next I collaged on papers for details, and then began painting layers until I achieved the feel I was after to represent this magnificent mountain range. Mt. Sneffels, a 14,000' mountains stands at the right, the tallest in the range.
