Red Raven Painting

This Raven has been wanting to be painted, and I kept thinking about it. When I finally went into my studio to create him, he flowed out with so much joy.

I created this raven painting with a lot of intriguing collage papers, like rice papers, faces of Buddha, designs sent to me from my sister in New Orleans, and more. I also used stencils and hand made papers that I created with mixes of bluish greens that have organic textures, and pop off the red background.

The red background was created with high quality acrylic paints mixed with Gels to create a unique transparency, so that layers underneath are revealed with mystery.

I finished this raven art off with Golds and layers of Varnish to create the sophisticated coating. It's like eye-candy!
