Shirley's Zinnias
I went to visit my friend Shirley Novak, the incredible poppy painter and gardener. We had morning tea and oatmeal cake on her beautiful China. Then we chatted and cut flowers in her garden. She sent me home with a bucket-sized bouquet of so many colors of zinnias – it would have put a smile on a grumpy face. This mixed media zinnia painting is the result of the floral inspiration, and the energy that comes from spending time with a wonderful person ... Thanks Shirley!
