The Sun Never Says
This painting was inspired by a ski to the top of a 13,000' mountain in the San Juan Mountains of sw Colorado, and is named from a poem by Hafiz. It's a 6 ft wide mixed media diptych with sweeping brushes strokes of cool blues, lavenders, and a thousand whites. (A hundred names for snow, so the eskimo legend goes.) Scraps of poetry and storybooks, rice papers, india ink and textured stamps adorn this canvas.
