Where the Sun Sleeps

This aspen painting reflects the morning glow in a quiet winter forest. It is inspired by my plane ride to South Carolina, where my son and I watched with awe out the window as the sun rose across a brilliant pink sky. Traveling with my boy is one of my greatest pleasures. This painting is named after a lovely poem by the Sufi poet, Hafiz, who is one of my favorites .
