Yellow Bird
This peaceful, Yellow Bird is an original mixed media painting on canvas. I started off painting bright pink layers, and unexpectedly took a turn to yellow when I followed my whim. I incorporated wood cuts that I've made by hand of the bird and butterfly, and used Japanese newspapers that a friend brought back from a trip to Japan.
