Restarting Your Art after a Long Time, or a Tough Time

Restart your art after a long time - or a tough time.

Are you ready to get your art started again after a long absence or a challenging period?

If you have a creative calling, Art is your soul food. It’s what makes us feel fulfilled, and full of purpose and joy. When you neglect your art for too long, it’s easy to start going down the road of feeling less joy, and more exhaustion.

Maybe it’s been a long time since you’ve done your art, and you’re tired from life and not sure how to get it going again.

Maybe you’ve been taking care of elderly, or your partner.

A lot of times it can be hard to get going again if you haven’t been painting, and your tank is empty.

It’s also easy to want your Art to happen but not have the energy to get it going on your own.

The truth is it’s easy to get into that “woe is me” mentality when we’re tired, or life has been challenging.

When this happens, women often want to return to their Art to fill their soul and feel that joyful flow again. But some of them will go years without their art thriving. Let’s look at what makes the difference between the artists I see thriving, and the artists I see withering…

When I talk with women about Art Mentoring, I see two different outlooks. One of them I can help, and one of them I can’t.

The ones I can help, the ones that will be successful and make art and love their art practice (like the students you see on my website), are the ones who are determined to get their art going no matter what.

They’re going to make the time, create the space, set aside the money, get the supplies, and use the energy to make it happen. They’re *determined* to get over their hurdles and therefore, they will make their art happen.

Like Jill, she had been through a hurricane, had to leave her home and move, and was on a limited income. Yet she reached out to me, made her art a priority, and with my help began painting scenes of the home she had loved and lost.

She revived her painting after the most difficult circumstances because she knew her life was so much happier when she was painting.

“I am reaching a NEW place – not just finding joy in painting as before, but more of a completely new plateau of the experience of painting, which features excitement, the fun of discovering … I know that I CAN get into an intuitive zone and just lose myself in it.”– Jill

The type I can’t help are the ones who are waiting for life to make it happen for them. For something magical to fall into their lap. Or for it to happen with not much effort, or who give up when there are challenges.

The hard truth is that you are the only person who can turn your Art around.

If you are not giving YOURSELF the gift of your Art time, no one is going to make that happen for you.

The worst part is that the women who continue down this road of taking care of everyone and everything but their art are only going in one direction – that of exhaustion, health issues and depression.

If that’s you, I give you permission right here to make your Art a priority. You are the only one who can do it. Don’t let life’s circumstances suck you dry. Hold that sacred space for your art. The only way to do that is to prioritize it.

And if you’re ready to take your art to the next level now, and don’t want to do it by yourself, I can help. ..

You can book an Art Breakthrough Call with me and we’ll get on the phone and find out what’s holding you back, what you need to move forward, and what your dream is for your Art. And if I can help you get there, I’ll show you what that looks like.

Please don’t book a call with me if you’re just looking for free information. These calls are for women who are ready to make their art happen now and invest in themselves.

If that’s you, I’d love to talk with you. You can book your Art Breakthrough Call here.

With love,
