I typically don’t like to tell students what colors to buy, because choosing the colors YOU love is so important.

The colors you choose are part of your voice, and the mood you create.

That said, today I want to share with you both the basic colors I recommend, plus a few simple tips for becoming confident with color.

If you’re not as experienced at color mixing, don’t try to learn to be a better painter and color mixer all at once – it’s too much.

You’re not cheating if you buy colors that are already mixed into brilliant hues that excite you.
