Jersey Queen

My friend Shirley cut three buckets full of flowers for me last week, and one of them - an entire bucket of orange, red, pink and white poppies. Too beautiful for words, I placed them in a vase my son made this year in art class. An aspen tree vase, tall and thin. This painting is made of layers of collage, paint mixed with gels, pretty papers, pastels and more. All put together on a checked yellow tablecloth.
