Today I’m sharing this interview (above) and words of Melody, because she has gone from NOT BELIEVING SHE WAS GOOD ENOUGH to Full time Artist and Art Instructor.
And I want you to know that artists are like plants. They just need the right water and light to give them the encouragement to grow. It happened for Melody, it can happen for you. It’s not that she’s more talented than you… it’s because she knows something you don’t.
She knows the tools it takes to start believing in her art, and start truly expressing her voice. She knows these things because she decided to do something different than she was doing to fix this problem. She bravely went outside of her comfort zone and reached out to me for help.
And now, she’s teaching art weekly to women and working on a series of paintings for a show!
Scroll down to read her words…
“I didn’t want to go to my grave with regrets over my life. And I didn’t want to go into retirement and say, ‘What if I had done that?’ I didn’t want the ‘what if’s’, if I didn’t follow my dream. And that dream got stronger and stronger, like WOW, this can really happen… I found out there’s more art in me than I knew.” – Melody
“I had a lot of doubt. I doubted even my ability. I know I didn’t have much confidence…I was wanting to make my art a business. I had all this doubt, but I wanted to see if I could do. I think that was my biggest decision, ‘Maybe I can do this’. .. And I can tell you if you don’t take that risk, you’ll never know.” – Melody
