Cimarron Alpenglow
Each evening, for a sacred few moments, the Cimarron Mountains glow a rosey hue in the Colorado sunset. If you live in Ridgway Colorado, or have ever visited this area, this has a special place in your heart.
I created this painting just because I love this evening moment. It's embedded in my soul from living here over twenty years. I began this painting by making my own collage papers with Gelli Plates, and creating the peaceful landscape. Then I finished by adding a few cows This painting is part of a series of mountains in the San Juans, including my other two paintings, "San Juan Ranch", and "Up to Ice Lakes".
