Forever Tulips Painting

I call this "Forever" Tulips because it took forever to complete. You can see many videos of the process of this painting on my instagram @kelliedayart, including this early video where you can see how the painting began, and this middle phase where the background changed again to indigo.

 

Using hand made papers, up close you can see textured layers, surrounded by iridescent gold lines. The indigo background has rich and luscious brush strokes with soft highlights.
