See these artists’ successes: from stuck to stunning
November 2, 2025Recently, when I was making an art project for my advanced students, I couldn’t seem to finish my painting. We were doing funky still lifes full of papers and wonderful colors, stencils and spray paint, but I just wasn’t able to get this painting to a place where I loved it.
Even though my Instagram photo got more views than any photo I’ve posted, it still wasn’t where I wanted it.
So I had to figure out how to push past that stuck feeling.
Watch this two minute video to see how I work with paintings when I don’t really like them. And watching this, you may learn how to evolve your painting and feel a sense of greater freedom as you work.

Thank You!!! I’ve been in a transition. Moving away from teaching classes and creating layouts for publications.
I want to Paint for me, then have a few shows, and do it in my time frame.
I want less pressure, less drama to please clients and more time to create enjoyable, authentic paintings to express my emotions.
I just want the freedom to simply create.
You know what I mean. – Lee
