5 Myths that Keep You from Your Art- and How to Bust Them

Living your fullest life as an artist means you are using your biggest gifts, and you’re not keeping them inside of you.

If life feels a little dull right now, and you’re longing to wake up with the spark of knowing your an Artist, let’s be honest… If you don’t get up and fill your life with richness and fullness, you will fill your time with less-meaningful things.

When oceans of truth welcome you, why do you settle for half-lives?

If you’re the kind of woman who feels this calling, and is longing to make it happen, I want to share with you a few Myths on why women don’t do their art – and then how to bust them!

1. You don’t want to fail, and find out you didn’t have anything special afterall –

BUST IT – I don’t believe in good or bad art. Art is about expressing who you are. It’s about expressing something you have to share on this Earth, and learning how to do that.

2. You’re only an Artist if you’re making masterpieces and selling –

BUST IT – Being an Artist is about more than making masterpieces. We do it because we love to create. We love being in the flow, and playing with all the fun supplies we love to buy! There’s so much more to being an Artist than the result – it’s about living a more inspired life and being a creator.

3. You don’t want to invest in yourself, time-wise or money wise, because it might get wasted –

BUST IT – The bottom line here is that if this is you, you don’t feel worth it. Let me tell you sister – you ARE. And the only thing you’re going to get from being a doormat your whole life is sadness, health effects, lack of excitement and meaning in your life. Ask yourself – do you want to get to the end of your life and have played small? Or say that you WENT FOR IT?

4. You’re not getting going in  your studio, and you’re beating yourself up for procrastinating –

BUST IT – I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: It’s not your fault. Procrastination happens because you’re either not excited about what you’re doing, or you need support because you’re not sure what you’re doing, or you need a process to get started on canvases that’s playful! (there’s more to this- this is a HUGE thing I work with my students on)

5. You keep waiting and plan on doing it later –

BUST IT – Guess whattttt? If you’re waiting, ask yourself how many years have gone by. ‘Cause usually it’s a lot. Women who wait until their life is “in order”, or “it’s the perfect time” let years and decades go without making art – and then they feel so sad. I see this all the time. The good news is that the answer is simplejust start. The key is just to start. If you love Art, and you know deep inside this is your calling, JUMP!

So, the bottom line is, do you want to be jumping in and jello-wrestling? OR do you want to stay on the sidelines? Which woman are you going to be?

There is a world of excitement waiting for you in your studio, and my gift to the world is that I know how to open you up to your greatest expression.

If that’s you, and you don’t want to wait another day, I can help. You can book a call with my team to discover where you are blocked, and what you need to move forward. These calls are free, and they are only for women who are ready to take their Art to the next level now, and stop trying to figure it out all by themselves.

*Please do not book a call with us if you are just looking for free information.

If you’re ready for love and support and a practical, playful path to your greatest expression, you can book your call here.

Happy painting!
