In this video, I’m going to share with you three things you need to move your art forward, if you’ve been stuck in the world of online classes, and unable to move your art forward…

Are you taking online courses and not able to paint on your own when they are over, so you keep having to take more online classes to make paintings?

Are you good at painting what the teacher shows you, but you don’t have a VOICE of your own?

After the class is over do you still feel stuck and unable to advance your art on your own?

Have you taken so many classes you’re not sure what your style is, or even what you LIKE?

The problem with online classes is overwhelm – there’s so many it’s easy to get lost in this cycle.

Each teacher makes beautiful art and has something to offer. But until you know what YOU love, YOUR style, and how to make YOUR art practice work in a REGULAR, joyful way, these classes will NEVER give you the creative muscle to move your art forward TODAY!

The good news is that if you really want to learn how to make your OWN art move forward, without having to keep watching class after class to keep painting, you CAN.

What I teach the women I mentor is how to develop their own creative muscle, so they don’t have to rely on endless classes to have an art career.

And so they don’t have to get LOST in the overwhelm of the internet and only paint what everyone else is, or their teacher’s style.

To get unstuck and create an art practice of your own, with your own style, here are three things you need to move your art forward: 

1. If you’ve been busy raising kids for years, or nurturing a career instead of your art, chances are very high that you don’t even know what you like anymore.

When you’re taking care of everything and everyone else, we get very out of touch with ourselves, and our own internal compass .

The first step to moving your art forward is NOT to learn another art technique! It’s actually to find your way back to what moves you, what you’re good at, what you like and dislike, and most of all, your own know-how to distinguish what’s really coming from YOU and your heart, not from all the online classes.

Ladies, if you don’t have a barometer of where your own self is, you will get bobbed around in the overload of internet art and be stuck at sea, and your art is not going anywhere.

This is the number one beacon of light that I guide the women I work with to do. If this is you, get off the internet and get the tools to rediscover who you are.!

2. You have to learn simple and joyful and non-intimidating easy to get into your studio and start painting.!

If you don’t know what to paint, and especially if you don’t know how to get started when looking at a blank canvas –without getting that sick feeling in your stomach of not knowing what to do – you have got to get these tools! 

This is what I teach the women I work with – how to get started with your art in a JOYFUL way that will keep you excited and inspired about your art for the rest of your life

3. You gotta learn how to CONFIDENTLY move through stuck places…

Once you DO get going and doing your own thing and not someone else’s, it is INEVITABLE that you will face challenges with your paintings. Here is where a lot of people get lost.

You start the painting, it’s looking good, you’re having fun and you get so far and don’t know how to take it to the next place without ruining it, so you freeze up. 

If you don’t know how to confidently move through these stuck places in your art, you will constantly be relying on these online classes to create paintings.

AND YOU CAN LEARN THESE SKILLS.

This is what I teach my students, is how to develop YOUR MUSCLE , so you can create your own art, for the rest of your life, and NOT have to rely on imitating teachers OR step by step instruction.
