How do you get ideas from your head onto a canvas… do you paint intuitively, or logically?

Sometimes  people wonder how to get a drawing or watercolor, or a smaller painting onto a canvas.

I also have people ask me how to go big, it can be intimidating. But I love going big, there’s such freedom in a large canvas, and such great expression can be created.

In this video I explain a little about my approach, and how I combine research, real life experience with the subject, planning and intuition to create a large painting.
