Coffee shop art commission

I love having an assignment where art and graphic design meet. The challenge of considering layout, color, and how the pieces work together, yet giving them a life of their own, are like problem solving. For the Roast and Toast coffee shop triptych, I wove papers patterned with flowers and words through each painting to give them continuity. Each painting had to have a life of its own, but the three had to also work together.
