High Desert Paint Horse with Bluebird

I am really enamored by Paint Horses. This one had particularly elegant lines, and every time I drove by it I could see it grazing on the golden grasses in the soft evening light. Finally I had to stop and take photos, so I could go back to my studio and paint him.

I used Gold Iridescent paint to draw these lovely grasses at his feet and nose. And the background has thickly textured clouds, with a mountain bluebird on his back so he is never alone.
