Today I’m sharing photos of my recent graduates’ work hanging on mock gallery walls, 4-5 paintings each. Something beautiful happens when you see their pieces together. …

You can actually see each artist’s unique voice emerging.

Sharon’s pieces carry an energetic yet peaceful vibrancy in her beloved birds and flowers. (Above).  Michelle’s work flows with serenity and femininity.

Darlene’s collection sparkles with playful boldness and touches of abstract. And then there’s Doreen’s “Everyday Goddesses”—powerful feminine figures that emerged from somewhere deep within her.

Doreen’s story moves me, (below). She told me when we first met that she wanted to paint goddess figures, but what emerged was something far more personal—she calls them “everyday goddesses”. They are actually pieces of herself. “I am making pieces of myself – of who I would have been – I think I’m projecting onto the canvas a younger me, who is in the world as a modern woman.”

Two years after losing her husband, Doreen had been painting but struggling with perfectionism. Through our work together, she learned “to nurture my muse with whimsy on days that I only want to be playful and not feel guilty about it.” She broke free from the need to have everything perfect from the start, discovering she could work through issues on the canvas as they arose.

The breakthrough moment?

“I’ve been brave enough to put this on a canvas. I’m just not painting pretty things,” she says.

Her three sons are now taking interest in her art, and most importantly, she’s achieved one of her biggest goals—loving her own art enough to hang it on her own walls.

Doreen’s transformation mirrors what I’ve watched happen with Michelle (who’s now submitting to galleries and exploring online sales), Sharon (who landed 3 pieces into a show and has begun selling her work), and Darlene (who broke through her fears to discover artistic freedom and now has a lifetime of creative joy ahead as a newly retired artist).

This is what happens when you stop trying to paint like someone else and start painting like YOU.

Looking at their gallery walls now, each student’s artistic voice is starting to show. And they’ll only grow stronger as they create more paintings, which they now know how to confidently do. That’s the beautiful thing about finally diving into your creativity – it becomes a lifelong conversation between you and your canvas.

If you’ve been wondering whether you have something unique to express – whether your voice matters, whether it’s worth investing in your artistic development—look at these women. They asked the same questions just months ago.

Your voice is waiting to emerge too.

And if you’re ready to start discovering what YOU have to paint, to see your own work displayed with confidence and pride, I’m here to help you find it.

I don’t just teach you how to make a painting—I help you become an artist for the rest of your life. We’ll work together to break through the limiting beliefs that have been keeping your authentic voice hidden.

I’ve opened just 3 spots in my Art Mentoring program right now, for women ready to move from dabbling to creating work they truly love—work that reflects who they are, not who they think they should be

If you’re ready to create like these women are, you can book an Art Breakthrough Call with me here. We’ll talk about where you are now, where you want to be, and whether my mentoring program is the right fit to help you get there.

These calls are only for women ready to invest in themselves and their artistic growth right now. If you’re not ready to advance your art, please don’t book a call.

If you ARE ready, I’d love to talk.

Book your call here: https://kelliedayart.com/booking/

With love and creativity,

Kellie

P.S. My “Unproductive” video is still come out soon, it’s just taking a little longer than expected.
