Going From a Long Term Challenge to Being an Empowered Artist

From Challenge to Empowered Artist

This video is taken from my facebook group, Transform Your Art from Dabbling to Professional Quality

If you’ve been in a long-term challenging time, it can be hard to get back into the flow of your art.

We recently had a woman in our Facebook group who had been in a difficult marriage for a long time. Her husband had put a lot of pressure on her to help earn income and it took her away from her art for decades. As a result she became resentful and blaming of him.

When your spouse or your world isn’t supportive of your art, and doesn’t lift you up and encourage you in your dream, it can feel nearly impossible to find the energy to make your art happen.

WHEN YOU’RE IN THAT SITUATION… YOU’RE HAVING TO FIND PEACE in your relationship AND create income. It there feels like there is only so much energy in life for what you can make happen.

Imagine living this way for decades – putting that creative calling on hold, WHILE your resentment of your situation is building.

This woman felt like she was being selfish to make her art a priority, so she put it on hold and tried to do the right thing. Does that sound familiar to any of you? A lot of times your intentions start out really great …. You’re trying to do the right thing.

AND NOW, DECADES LATER, she is resentful and hurt that she didn’t get the support she deserved. She’s trying to figure out new forms of income she can create in her life, so that she can make her art happen NOW.

The long term affects of this type of situation are compromising your mental and physical health. And your happiness. People who put their happiness on hold for decades end up with unhappy relationships and long term health issues.

One of the beliefs out there is that “life has kept me from my art.”

I totally get that. I talk with women all the time who have had cancer, people they love die, or are healing from abusive relationships. I know a lot of you have been in really really hard situations. HELL YES, life keeps up from our art.

But one day, you are going to wake up and realize you can no longer live like this. And that is your cue to come out swinging.

The truth is: When you have this REALIZATION that your lack of living your art dream is affecting your happiness and your relationships, and for many women their health –  this is a warning sign that you are waking up, and realizing you can no longer live this way.

NOTICE THIS MOMENT RIGHT NOW. This is life talking to you through a megaphone. You have two choices:

  1. You can keep blaming your life for never making your dream happen, and going through the motions to keep everything running “smoothly (even though you’re miserable inside)
  2. OR you can take radical responsibility for your life and do everything you can RIGHT NOW to start living your dream.

It’s really simple: Do you want to live your empowered life?

You have to take action RIGHT NOW to make your life better …  the women who keep thinking about making their life better – and never acting on it –  go another decade thinking about it.

The women who take action right now to change their lives, here’s what that looks like:

  • It looks like waking up every day knowing they have a purpose that other people value, and feeling fulfilled themselves.
  • Your friends know you’re an artist, and respect and admire that, you know why? BECAUSE YOU FINALLY RESPECT AND ADMIRE YOURSELF.
  • You have a reason to get up, deep inside of you, and create something beautiful for the rest of your life, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS. And no one can take that away from you.
  • And when you’re really hitting your stride, people start buying your paintings. Companies contact you to use your art. Organizations ask you to teach what you know.
  • And you start helping others to make their lives better, because you’ve done it yourself. One of my students Melody is doing this.

Do you want to live your empowered life? Do you want to do something about it NOW? If so, I’ve opened up a few spots on my calendar in the next few days to talk with a few women who are committed to making their art happen. If this is you, we’ll get on the phone for about 60 minutes, and find out what’s holding you back. I’ll help you get a plan for moving forward. If this is you, you can Book your call at kelliedayart.com/booking/.

**These calls are NOT for everyone – Do not book a call with me if you are just looking for free information. This is for women who know they are worth living their best life and are committed to making their art happen now, and taking action.

If that’s you, I’d love to talk with you. Book your call at kelliedayart.com/booking/

Talk with you soon!
