I don’t often write about finishing paintings, but it’s something a lot of artists have questions on.

“How do you know when your painting is finished?”

There’s really no right or wrong way to answer this question.

I believe paintings are never “finished”, they just stop in interesting places!

Because if you don’t learn to trust yourself and make the final decisions, you won’t be finishing your paintings.
