Join me as I talk with the amazing Artist Andrea Lopez in this video interview – and find out how she went from trying to figure her Art on her own, putting everything else first, and being in perfectionism, to having the faith to express her true voice in her Art, create a vibrant series of paintings, and start selling and planning a show.

Andrea always wanted to develop her artistic side. She was doing the same thing over and over, and not going anywhere with her Art. She felt really stuck. She had a wonderful husband, a great job and house, but this was the one thing that was missing in her life.

She did oil painting for a few years on and off. And then something happened that made her see how much she loves painting, and how she wanted to make it a bigger part of her life. She realized she needed to make a change, that Art was a passion for her that brought her a lot of joy, and she didn’t want to wait any longer.

“You know when there’s this thing inside of you, and you’re not really working on it… I knew that I had this talent, this skill, and I’m just wasting it by not doing what I love. Life is too short not to do what you love.”

Andrea was watching youtube videos and trying different things, but she didn’t exactly know which way to go. She was trying to find inspiration, but not really finding it, and not wanting to spend much time in the studio.

Then one day last fall she was at her parents house and started reworking an old painting. She realized it was time to make a change and make her Art a bigger part of her life. That’s when her commitment to her Art started everything for her.

“Before there was a lot of desire for perfection….. Now I know that I want to show what I love. My paintings are so full of vibrant color and joy now. I know that if I love it, people are going to love it. Now I want to show people who I am without hesitation or fear… it’s a completely different kind of painting now.”
