There’s nothing like making a giant painting and just getting lost in the paint.

This one’s about five feet tall, and I’m reworking a huge buffalo painting that didn’t turn out! LOL… I love the freedom of a large canvas, making tons of drips and spreading gorgeous colors around – feels like having wings!

I also love painting around all the negative shapes and creating something new. Getting wild with lots of gold and line work, just being completely free.

There’s no feeling like painting freely – it’s like having wings!

I feel elated when I come out of my studio after a session like this.

I’ll probably work on the white roses next. Maybe some collage, maybe some wild letters or text. I used to be a graphic designer and I love those kinds of things in my paintings.

Wherever this one ends up, it’s going to make a huge statement in somebody’s house.
