Could your heart use a little love? I’ve been noticing a lot of women in my community posting about how Art has helped them to heal after a tough period.

Often times when women go through a tough time in life, they come back to the solace and healing in their Art. (see the stories below)

Like a woman I spoke with this week who’s husband had left her and her children, and her heart was broken. She was returning to her painting for healing, and I respected her so much for her bravery.

This women touched me deeply because this was part of my story as well.  The truth is that my Art would never had happened if I had stayed married.
 
Sometimes the toughest moments in life open doors we never could have imagined. As painful as they are.

What happens to women in their 50’s and 60’s, or even 70’s is they find their creativity a very sacred, healing space.

This is why it’s so important to answer your creative calling. … Because no matter what happens, you’ll always have your art.

• There is no feeling like creating, and loving the paintings you make.

• Or to be in your creative flow, and just enjoying creating – and forgetting about time or anything else.

• And especially the wonderful feeling of having someone tell you they are moved by your painting.
